My name is Terrence Tyson. I’m a professional photographer based in Jacksonville, Florida, where I specialize in Event, Portrait and Commercial photography.

Just like a lot of photographers, my first camera came as a gift from a relative. Since receiving that gift, I’ve gone on to become an award-winning Event / Commercial photographer. But this craft didn’t start out as my passion (I only took one class in high school). During college, I needed extra money so I shot polaroids in the nightclubs in Daytona Beach, FL.

After that period, I changed my focus (no pun intended), turned to digital photography & never looked back. Always trying to improve myself, I made a commitment to become a full-time photographer. I tried being every specialty possible (pets, weddings, children, you name it). But, then I started focusing on event & portrait photography & it felt like I found my niche.

In 2006, I started working for Ozone Magazine in Orlando, FL. After 4 years of working for Ozone, I knew I wanted to continue being a photographer.

Instead of finding another job, I wanted to use the knowledge & experience I gained from shooting for a national magazine & start working for myself. And on January 1st, 2010, I created the website you are currently visting now.

Since then, I’ve worked with a bunch of global brands including, but not limited to, NASCAR, BET Networks, Def Jam Records, Atlantic Records, Psycho Bunny Clothing, etc…

The challenges grew & I grew alongside them. And all these years (& a few awards) later, I still love my craft like I just started.
